{"id":1,"name":"admin","url":"http:\/\/www.pabloirie.com","description":"Biography                                                                    \r\nLloyd (AKA Pablo Irie) Arjun was born March 16th 1961 at the Victoria Jubilee Hospital in Kingston Jamaica\r\n \r\nPablo resided with his Mother in the Woodpecker Avenue area of Western Kingston  before he moved to Clarendon to stay with his Grandmother Rachel Elizabeth Renford (R.I.P.) where he spent much of his youth.\r\n \r\nIt was while in Clarendon that he met a popular entertainers like Winston McAnuff, otherwise known as \u201cThe Electric Dread\u201d. And others,  McAnuff was a school teacher  teaching at The Baillieston Primary School during this time.  He was never too shy to bring his guitar to school and sing a few of his songs from his archives.  Pablo was soon playing the guitar and various other instruments.  He later became a back up musician at Church functions and DJ for Local Sound System.\r\n \r\nDuring this time he was given the name Pablo Irie by his #1 fan and elder brother Clinton Brown (R.I.P.).  He became popular in the country and was know for playing the guitar and singing country and western music for fans with his childhood friend Floyd Malcolm who played the accordion.  Floyd was very instrumental due to his passion for music.\r\n \r\nWhen Pablo completed high school he moved back to Kingston to seek employment opportunities but to also pursue his musical career.  He lived in the Cockburn Pen area of West Kingston with his cousin, Delton Screechie, a popular entertainer, and family.  It was there he met Jah Thomas, Nigger Kojack and Lisa just to name a few.  According to Pablo Irie, \u201cWe did have a big yard and a whole heep a dance use to keep Deh\u201d.  \r\n \r\nPablo\u2019s big brake came when his brother Huclit Brown got him on a talent show at the Virgin\u2019s Disco Club in New Kingston.  He won first prize with his imitation of Lue Lepke.  \u201cI started to believe more that I was an entertainer.\u201d said Pablo.  He also tried unsuccessfully to work with Third World and Gregory Isaac.\r\n \r\nIn pursuit of his musical career Pablo moved to the United States in 1982.  He resided with his Mother and continued to pursue his career in music.  While living in New Jersey he got together with a group called Exodus Supreme, a popular Reggae band at the time.  It was with them he got his first performance in the United States and for the first time met \u201cApple\u201d of Israel Vibration who performed on the same show. \r\n \r\nIt was also with this group that he was able to share the same stage with Rankin Joe, Autense Ellis, Jose Wales among others.  He started to write some songs and the group would let him perform them at future shows.  \r\n \r\nIn the late 1980 he went to Jamaica and was introduced to Charlie Chaplin.  He brought him along with him to Harry Jay Studio where he was working on some of his songs.  It was there Pablo recorded his first song \u201cTribute\u2019s to Charlie Chaplin\u201d which had limited success but served as the motivation for his career.\r\n \r\nIn the mid 1990\u2019s he wrote a prayer section for reggae entertainment magazine called Caribbean Pulse.  Anthony White owner of this magazine was able to get him his first television debut with Telemundo Television.  Pablo served as the host of the reggae artist interview portion of \u201cThe Roof\u201d, a popular music show on Mun2 TV.  According to Pablo Irie, \u201cIt was a great learning experience\u201d.\r\n \r\nPablo Irie is currently very busy back in the studio working on his album Out of the Depth\u2019s which is due to be released in the summer of 2005.  He also has a new single titled Judgment Day which has received great reviews for many fans and music lovers.\r\n \r\nPablo Irie thanks you for your support.
